Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Adrian Gonzalez, a Teammate since 2013, hosted his 3rd annual youth baseball camp earlier this month at Calabasas High School in Calabasas, California. The camp covered baseball fundamentals and offered 260 athletic hopefuls the chance to practice with and learn from the 4-time All Star player and his staff of 30 coaches.
Teammates was proud to provide scholarships to send several young athletes to the camp. The scholarships were presented through Coaching Corps, where motivated college students and community members serve as volunteer coaches, mentors, and role models in afterschool sports programs serving girls and boys who live in under-resourced communities.
In keeping with its new tradition of presenting a Good Teammate Award to one camper at each of the Pro Camps they provide scholarships to over the summer. Teammates was proud to recognize 11-year-old Kenanja Neroes of Los Angeles for demonstrating the traits of a TOTAL TEAMMATE: leadership, toughness, unselfishness, and respect for the game and all of its participants.
