The Zone at Phoenix Children’s Hospital was nearly overrun last week as 25 of the Arizona Cardinals’ newest players stopped by to meet patients and families, sign autographs, and hang out.

One special patient, who had played football before being diagnosed with leukemia and undergoing a bone marrow transplant, was speechless when he had the opportunity to meet one of his favorite players, Tyrann Mathieu. Just having the opportunity to talk in depth about football and some of Mathieu’s best plays, you could see the joy and excitement come back to the young patients eyes.

The Zone at Phoenix Children’s Hospital continues to be the perfect place to host this and other special events, including upcoming visits from Cindy McCain with Mike Fourtner from Discovery Channel, O’Brien Schofield from the Cardinals, and a children’s wind ensemble performance.
