Two-time Super Bowl Champion Justin Tuck and Garth Brooks were proud to host 176 children at Super ProCamp V on February 1, the day before the Super Bowl. In a unique merging of sports traditions, the outfield of Yankee Stadium was the perfect location for the all-day football camp enjoyed by kids from the Bronx Knights and the North Bronx Cowboys organizations.
Also, 52 girls from the Bronx Knights participated in the “cheer clinic” led by Katina Taylor, wife of former NFL player Jason Taylor. Katina & Jason have been Teammates since 2006.
Other Teammates participating in the camp were World Series champion and NY Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver and Cincinnati Bengal AJ Green, and Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Mark Asper. Teammates was one of the beneficiaries of this event, which raised over $100,000.
"This was one of those days when all the stars aligned...Yankee Stadium, Pro Bowlers, All-Stars, Super Bowl Champs, World Series Champs, and....KIDS.” Said CO-Founder of Teammates for Kids Garth Brooks “The weather was great, the parents were great, the coaches were great...if you could hit a home run in football, it just happened."
