A wave of smiles came upon the patients and families at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota when members of the Starkey Hearing Foundation brought in a parade of new best friends. Over 400 Build-a-Bears dressed in firefighter, ballerina, superhero, and other awesome outfits arrived for patients and families during a festive holiday gathering in The Child Life Zone in St. Paul. Patients and their siblings were able to choose their favorite bear while enjoying snacks, crafts, and the company of the wonderful people from the Starkey Hearing Foundation. Multiple bears also paraded to other parts of the hospital to bring joy and comfort to those who were unable to attend the gathering.

"We cannot thank the Starkey Hearing Foundation enough for their generosity and the happiness they have given to our patients and families!" exclaimed Stephanie Smith, Child Life Zone director at Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.

“At Starkey Hearing Foundation, we are so fortunate to be able to connect with so many people around the world, and connecting with the kids at Children’s Hospital and Clinics was incredible," said Brady Forseth, Executive Director. "Seeing their faces light up when receiving the bears … the hugs … the high-fives—it was an experience none of us will forget. We are so grateful to our friends at Delta Zeta for providing the bears and for Garth Brooks and Teammates for Kids for supporting the amazing Child Life Zones that give kids a place to be a kid.”
