Twenty players from the Dallas Stars made their annual visit to Children’s Medical Center bringing a little holiday spirit to patients and families along the way! The players were split into 4 different groups making their way from patient rooms and to the Child Life Zone. While inside the Zone they enjoyed video and board games along with a couple of intense games of pool with the patients.
Currently there are 16 players from the Dallas Stars Hockey Club who are Teammates this season!
“It is great to see stories like this,” said Jason Grahame, Director at Teammates for Kids “A lot of times we see athletes when they are competing on the ice. It is important to see this side of these guys as well because they are some of the most giving individuals we get to work with and we can’t thank them enough for taking the time to visit the Zone!”
The Zone in Dallas was the first Child Life Zone in the network. It was originally opened in 1996 and was remodeled in 2003.
