Jose Altuve of the Houston Astros and a Teammate since 2017, hosted a youth baseball camp this June at the baseball fields at Friendswood High School in Friendswood Texas. Over the course of two days, 377 young athletes had the privilege of working on their baseball skills with the Astros’ 2-time AL Batting Champion and 4-time Golden Glove winner.

Teammates for Kids was proud to provide scholarships to youth from the Tickets for Kids Charities, allowing them to have this incredible experience for free. The Tickets for Kids Charities is dedicated to the equitable access of cultural resources for low-income and at-risk children.

Teammates for Kids presents a Good Teammate Award to a child at each of the Pro Camps where they provide scholarships. At this camp, Teammates was proud to recognize 9-year-old Mattison Mallett for demonstrating the traits of a TOTAL TEAMMATE: leadership, toughness, unselfishness, and respect for the game and all of its participants.
