St. Louis Cardinals third baseman Matt Carpenter, who became a Teammate this year, welcomed 300 kids to his very first youth baseball camp at Lafayette High School in Wildwood, Missouri, this summer. Carpenter and his coaching staff instructed, mentored, and practiced with the young athletes, who all left more confident in their batting and fielding skills.

Teammates was proud to provide scholarships through Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, which made it possible for several kids to go to the camp for free. Big Brothers Big Sisters' goal is to build trusting and enduring relationships that encourage and support young people.

Continuing its tradition of presenting a Good Teammate Award at each camp where it provides scholarships, Teammates recognized 8-year-old Aden Runge of Chester, Illinois. He received the award for exhibiting the traits of a Total Teammate: leadership, toughness, unselfishness, and respect for the game and all of its participants.
