Spirits were flying high as the Spirit of Halloween Store, and their friends The Power Rangers, flew in for a day of Halloween Fun! The Child Life Zone at Texas Children's Hospital anxiously awaits this annual event which is sure to bring laughter and smiles to our patients and families. Patients and their siblings have the opportunity to paint pumpkins, play games, make crafts and choose from dozens of Halloween costumes, making this one of the most celebrated days at Texas Children's!
"For many families, pumpkin carving, costume shopping and trick or treating is such an important part of childhood. Hospitalization can interrupt those traditions, which is why the Spirit of Halloween Store's Halloween party is so impactful. For a few hours that day, the children transform from hospital patients to Power Rangers, ninjas and princesses. That's the type of medicine that only the Spirit of Halloween crew can provide!” stated Mary Tietjens, Manager of the Child Life Program at Texas Children's Hospital.
