Steve Smith, All-Pro wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens and a dedicated Teammate since 2008, hosted his 7th annual youth football camp at Ardrey Kell High School in Charlotte, North Carolina, earlier this month. The 5-time Pro Bowler, formerly with the Carolina Panthers, led a coaching staff of 55, including current Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly, in working with over 450 young athletes during the 2-day camp.
Teammates was proud to provide scholarships for several athletic hopefuls through Partners for Parks, a nonpartisan support group that seeks to promote and enhance recreation in neighborhoods throughout Mecklenburg County and the surrounding region.
Continuing its new tradition of presenting a Good Teammate Award to one camper at each of the Pro Camps they provide scholarships to over the summer, Teammates was proud to honor Calvin Chavis of Gastonia, North Carolina. The 11-year-old was recognized for demonstrating the traits of a TOTAL TEAMMATE: leadership, toughness, unselfishness, and respect for the game and all of its participants.
