Boston Red Sox Right Fielder Mookie Betts, a first-year Teammate, hosted a youth baseball camp last month at Woburn Memorial High School in Woborn, Massachusetts. The camp covered baseball fundamentals and offered 261 athletic hopefuls the chance to practice with and learn from the 2016 AL MVP Runner-up and his staff of 30 coaches.
Teammates was proud to provide scholarships to send several young athletes to the camp. The scholarships were presented through Tickets for Kids, who are dedicated to the equitable access of cultural resources for low-income and at-risk children.
In keeping with the tradition of presenting a Good Teammate Award to one camper at each of the Pro Camps they provide scholarships to over the summer. Teammates was proud to recognize 10-year-old Samantha Cole for demonstrating the traits of a TOTAL TEAMMATE: leadership, toughness, unselfishness, and respect for the game and all of its participants.
