Steve Levy and Barry Melrose, known by sports fans around the world for their hosting and commentary on ESPN, were honored and surprised to receive The Teammates Award at our most recent Teammates appreciation party this summer.

The Teammates Award is given out semi-annually to showcase what being a Teammate is all about. Steve Levy and Barry Melrose exemplify the Teammate attitude of doing something much greater as a team than they could ever do by themselves. Since the very beginning of the foundation, they have volunteered their time to host our Teammates Appreciation Parties in the winter and summer each year. In that role, they interview guests, entertain with their humor, and help raise money by hosting our auction. They embrace the Teammates mission, and the love and compassion they have for kids is obvious in everything they do.

"I keep thinking every year I am going to get a call from these two and hear that they can't do this anymore. But every year and every event, they are there for the kids.” Says Garth Brooks Co-Founder of Teammates for Kids “I don't see how they fit us into their busy schedule but I can clearly see that they are a BIG part of why this foundation is working and growing. We can't thank them enough."
