GRAMMY Award-winning supergroup Train thrilled patients, families, and staff at the Zone at Denver Health earlier this week. While they were in town to perform at the Denver Health Foundation's NightShine Gala, they took time to stop by the Zone for an intimate, impromptu concert, performing for and with the delighted kids. They also spent plenty of time signing autographs and talking with the patients and their families.

“Train’s visit to Denver Health was very memorable for our patients and families!” said Erika Croswhite, Child Life Manager at Denver Health. “One of our patients received a guitar pick from lead singer Pat Monahan, which absolutely made her day. Her interaction with the band changed her attitude and lifted her spirits in a way that no one else could. As it did when Lionel Richie, Garth, and Earth, Wind & Fire visited, The Zone provided a perfect setting for the children to escape from the scary medical treatments and redirect their attention to a fun and exciting musical event. One of the toddlers stood up in his wagon and was dancing to the acoustic concert in the Zone! Thank you, Train and Teammates for Kids, for making a difference in the lives of the children at Denver Health!”

Teammates Co-Founder Garth Brooks said, "As a parent, a fellow musician, and as a Teammate, I cannot thank the guys from Train enough for being an example for all of us. Nothing brings joy more than the sound of music and a child's smiling face. To have all of this take place in a hospital is miraculous."
