Four players from NHL's Minnesota Wild paid a special holiday visit to patients and their families in the Child Life Zone at Children's Minnesota last week. Team captain Mikko Koivu, defenseman Nate Prosser, forward Thomas Vanek, and goalie Niklas Backstrom gave out hugs and high-fives, posed for pictures, and spent quality time with the kids. They even challenged them to some friendly bubble hockey competition.

That’s the hope of Kravis Children’s Hospital at Mount Sinai in New York, where O’Quinn recently paid a visit to the Child Life Zone and recorded a public service announcement about the importance of the flu vaccination in a hospital environment. Joining members of the hospital’s Youth Advisory Council in the KidZone TV studio, O’Quinn recited the campaign’s slogan, “Get your flu shot today, you’ll be OK!”
